I officially moved into #6 as I like to call it. This lovely cubicle is my 6th office in the four years we have worked in this building. It is a temporary life. I will be moving into another office around Labor Day. I wanted to share how claustrophobic this space is. I have 2 computers set up and a laptop, a monitor, DV deck, printer, and duplicator, all in one tiny cube. Let’s start a petition to free Andy and Joe and get them into a new office.
Welcome to the new andrewburns.org. It was time to make the joint a little more classy. You might have to reset your rss feed since this is technically a wordpress site. Note the new portfolio page and there will be more to come.
Matt talks about the glimpses into God’s heart that we are given from time to time. This one turned out way better than I was anticipating. When you find out you are shooting in front of a window 20 minutes before the shoot it is hard to be prepared. The b-roll worked out nice and the music fit it well. I learned more about shooting in front of a window and was able to try out a new technique. Next time it will be gold. I don’t think it is distracting to the video.
Jeff makes a confession about how far his obsession with the Cubs has taken him. I accidently uploaded the video with the split audio track that we use for services, so if you don’t have a stereo audio connection you won’t hear everything.
We originally were going to shoot this one at a baseball field, and we had some gorgeous b-roll, but then we took a little too long and the sun was terrible so we went inside to shoot. Because I didn’t know the content ahead of time I was disappointed that we weren’t shooting outside, but then when we got everything set up I was happy with where we shot and I think it was a better set-up than outside.
I actually used the frame of a futon in the room to get the light pattern on the back wall.
