Meet Dana. She is an anomaly. At least that is how it seems. Whenever we shot the blog videos for launching a movement, Jeff, Scott, Jamie, and myself, would all joke about how no one is reading these, and we would often get frustrated that we’re spending all this time working on these when they aren’t really doing anything. Well, they spoke to Dana.
This story is all about how Dana re-engaged with the material and was able to fill in her longing for more out of church. I personally think the material had nothing to do with Dana’s re-commitment to our church. I think it is her intentionality. This has been a major theme in my life over the last year, everything boils down to intentionality. My Bible reading, prayer times, and my overall relationship with Christ mean nothing without intentionality. I have to choose to engage. I have to be intentional. Dana’s story is inspirational because she was intentional. Before she was doing the motions and enjoyed doing them but once she engaged she was transformed.
From a technical side, I’m very happy with this video. The interview section might be one of my better lit and shot testimonies. The metal texture background actually fits well with a lot of the Chapel’s new branding that is going to be launched this fall. I wish I had a little more time for some better b-roll. But this project was done in 3 days, 2 of which I was in Dallas working on in the midst of a conference.
